Building a more complete picture of the human body.
Zemi Labs is developing smart clothing that captures the body’s electrical signals directly through fabric—giving researchers and clinicians access to richer physiological data beyond the limits of traditional wearable devices.
Our VisionA future where understanding the body doesn’t stop at the edge of the lab.
The human body is complex, interconnected, and constantly changing. Yet many of today’s wearable technologies capture information from a single location, limiting the context researchers and clinicians can see.
Zemi Labs is building a new kind of wearable platform: smart clothing capable of collecting multiple physiological signals across the body during natural, real-world activity. By integrating sensing directly into fabric, we aim to make high-quality biometric data easier to capture over longer periods and in the environments where people actually live, move, and recover.
Our mission is to turn clothing into a scalable platform for human sensing, helping researchers discover better biomarkers today while laying the foundation for more informed approaches to monitoring, treatment, and personalized healthcare in the future.
The core technology behind that vision is Zemi’s patented water-based conductive ink, which is screen-printed onto fabric to function as flexible sensors rather than relying on conventional adhesive electrodes, wires, and rigid hardware. The platform already supports signals including ECG, EMG, and EDA, alongside additional measures such as motion, respiration, skin temperature, and sweat volume.
